Who we serve
When the money runs out before the month does.
Household costs are up, balances have crept higher and the renewal is coming. This is fixable — and usually faster than people expect.

The short answer
If your mortgage, cards and lines of credit leave too little at the end of the month, restructuring can lower the payments without new income. Options include extending amortization at renewal, consolidating high-interest balances into the mortgage, changing payment frequency or using a second mortgage when refinancing would trigger a large penalty. Best Mortgage Montreal shows the monthly saving and the long-term cost of each option before you decide.
01 What we hear
You're not the first to say this.
The situations below come up every week. Each one has more than one answer — and usually a better one than the first lender offered.
We both work, and we still feel behind every month.
It's rarely about spending. It's usually about how the debt is structured.
Our renewal is going to add hundreds a month.
There are several ways to soften a renewal increase. The earlier we look, the more of them are available.
We keep moving balances between cards.
Consolidating into secured financing changes the monthly picture far more than any balance transfer.
02 How we work with you
Built around your situation, not a product.
Every engagement starts with the full picture and ends with a written set of options — whether or not you go ahead with us.
A calm, judgment-free review
Every payment in one place. No lectures — just numbers and options.
A restructure that fits your life
Consolidation, amortization and payment design adjusted together.
A pay-down plan with an end date
Freed cash flow directed deliberately, so the expensive debt doesn't come back.
Someone in your corner at renewal
We flag your renewal 9–12 months out and plan the payment change before it lands.
03 Solutions that usually fit
Where we'd likely start.
Cash-Flow Optimization
Rising costs shouldn't mean living tighter every month. We redesign amortization, payment frequency and debt structure around the money you actually keep.
ExploreDebt Restructuring
Credit cards, lines of credit and loans consolidated into one secured structure — so your payments fall and your plan becomes manageable again.
ExploreRenewal Strategy
Renewals come with payment adjustments. We review term selection, penalties and prepayment 9–12 months ahead so there are no surprises.

You don't need everything to start — a conversation comes first. But having these on hand lets us give you real numbers sooner.

05 In practice
How it works in practice.
Where the relief usually comes from
For most homeowners the biggest saving comes from moving high-interest balances — credit cards around 20%, unsecured lines near 10% — into the mortgage. The second lever is amortization: resetting it at renewal lowers the required payment. The third is timing: aligning payment dates and frequency with your pay schedule reduces the chance of overdrafts and late fees.
If your renewal is close
Renewal is the least expensive moment to restructure because there's no penalty to break the mortgage. If yours is within 12 months, it may be better to bridge the next few months — for example with a temporary payment adjustment — and do the full restructuring at maturity. We compare both paths so you don't pay a penalty you could have avoided.
Protecting the result
Lower payments only help if the freed cash has a job. We build a simple plan with you: a small emergency reserve, a target for extra mortgage prepayments, and limits on the credit lines that were cleared. Many clients keep the required payment low as a safety net and voluntarily pay more in good months.
Questions to ask before you sign
Ask how much the restructuring will save each month, how much more interest it will cost over the life of the loan, and what it costs if your plans change. Then ask yourself what you'll do with the freed cash. When all four answers line up, the restructuring brings lasting relief instead of a temporary one.

A refinance involves a credit check, but consolidating revolving debt usually lowers utilization, which tends to help over time.
What if we don't have much equity?
There are still levers — amortization, renewal timing, a smaller consolidation or alternative lenders. We'll show you which ones apply.
