What will my payment be at renewal?

01 How this calculator works
The method, in plain language.
- 01Your payment today is estimated from your balance, current rate and remaining amortization.
- 02Your renewal payment uses the new rate over the same remaining amortization.
- 03If you choose to reset the amortization, we show the payment over 25 or 30 years instead — which usually requires qualifying with the lender.
02 What the numbers don't show
Read this before you decide.
- Extending amortization lowers the payment but adds interest over time.
- A straight switch to a new lender no longer requires the stress test for uninsured mortgages — changing the amount or amortization does.
- Rates offered at renewal vary widely between lenders. Shop before you sign.
Turn the estimate into a plan.
